How Much Will It Cost?
What will the Open and Clean Government Act cost?
The cost of the Act is negligible: If tax dollars are not used for lobbying, they can be used for their intended purpose – public service. If state contracts can’t be awarded based on political expediency, the winner of the contracts will be the bidder with the best service at the best price. A website like the one proposed and the software to implement it was launched by the entire federal government in December 2007 for less than $1 million.
Can South Dakota really afford to continue wasting tax money under the current system? No. Support South Dakotans for Open and Clean Government today.
