October 7, 2008

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform -- www.ATR.org -- will visit Sioux Falls Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 13-14) to campaign in favor of Initiated Measure 10, a South Dakota state ballot measure that will stop elected officials from using tax dollars for lobbying or political campaigns or to award government contracts to their campaign donors.

Newsmax magazine last month named Norquist one of the top 25 most influential Republicans in the nation.  http://www.newsmax.com/headlines/powerful_republicans/2008/09/08/128848.html

Americans for Tax Reform last December donated $10,000 to South Dakotans for Open and Clean Government to help launch the group's successful petition drive to place Measure 10 on the ballot.  ATR's donation is the only out-of-state contribution received by the group, which has fully disclosed all of its donors as required by state campaign finance laws.
